Across three floors, Lantana brings together everything a modern gathering place should be: nourishment, indulgence, and belonging.
Prologue · A venture by Affable Planet
Led by founder and director Mr. Ramandeep Singh — a name that has stood for trust and quality across two industries for over a decade.
The name
Named after the resilient, ever-blooming flower that thrives against the odds, Café Lantana rises where New Chandigarh meets the Shivalik foothills — a destination built not for a season, but for a decade and beyond.
The people behind it
Café Lantana is a venture by Affable Planet, led by founder and director Mr. Ramandeep Singh — a name that has stood for trust and quality across two industries for over a decade: fine jewellery and real estate.
In jewellery, every transaction is personal — an heirloom, a milestone, a promise. In real estate, every decision carries weight — a family’s future, a lifetime of savings. Years spent serving clients across both worlds taught Mr. Singh something that no market report could: true understanding of what people expect, and the discipline to consistently deliver it.
That understanding is the foundation Café Lantana was built on. Hospitality, at its core, is no different — it’s about anticipating what someone needs before they ask, and delivering it with the same care whether it’s a diamond, a deed, or a dish.
Beyond the boardroom, Mr. Singh’s true education came from the road — over 50 countries across every inhabited continent, from the piazzas of Europe to the highlands of Latin America. A cup of coffee in Rome, a late-night bar in Buenos Aires, a quiet workspace in Tokyo — each destination left behind a fragment of what hospitality could feel like at its best. Lantana is where those fragments have finally come home, woven into a single address at the foot of the Shivaliks.
With Lantana, Affable Planet enters a new industry — but not as newcomers. As people who have spent a decade listening to what excellence means to their clients, and who are now ready to serve it on a plate.

Big shared tables, a reading corner lined with books and the bakery's two-deck oven, with the garden terrace just outside.
Mezzanine · open air
Sofas and long timber benches among planters and tall trees. The best seats in the house at sunset.
One floor up · as evening falls
One floor up, Lantana’s Pan-Asian kitchen and craft bar come alive as evening falls — an elevated space for those who know that a great evening starts with a great pour and ends with a story worth telling.

The bakery · on the mezzanine
Our bakery sits on the mezzanine, with a two-deck oven and display cabinets you can see from your table. Slow-fermented breads, laminated pastries and cakes come out from first light, for the kitchen downstairs and to take home.

Who Lantana is for
Lantana isn’t here to be discovered by everyone.
It’s here for those who seek it out — who value craft over convenience, quiet confidence over noise, and a place that feels like it was always meant to be here.
